Military Veteran Cleaners was founded on a simple idea, fueled by a deep understanding of the challenges veterans face transitioning back to civilian life. We are a cleaning service rooted in quality and integrity, committed to providing excellent service while supporting our veterans and community in Coastal, Maine.

Throughout my military service and deployments, I always found the transition back home to be the most difficult. I served to protect the American Dream and the freedoms that come with it. After risking life and limb, I returned to a society that often views military service as an "aggressive" occupation. While public services like law enforcement, paramedics, and firefighting commend and support veterans through training and services, the process to gain acceptance into these fields can be very challenging.

Federal and state jobs typically require degrees but claim to consider work experience as an equivalent qualification. However, the salaries offered are often minimal, and navigating the hiring process can be daunting. Many veterans struggle to reintegrate into civilian life because a part of them remains overseas.

I am not claiming to offer solutions for all who return home; rather, I aim to support those striving to provide for themselves and their families. Veterans' mental health often goes unaddressed as they try to manage these challenging transitions with a "never quit" mentality. However, this very mentality can contribute to the issue of veteran suicide. It reflects a struggle to reconstruct their sense of failure and accomplishment.

Having experienced both sides of this coin, I've questioned my own existence, meaning, worth, and contribution to the world. What ultimately saved my life was my family and the desire to give back. Sometimes, all we need is for someone to believe in us!
